Kalen DeBoer eases Alabama football injury status ahead of 2026 season

Alabama football is in the best possible condition heading into the 2026 season, according to head coach Kalen DeBoer. During an interview on McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning on WJOX, DeBoer revealed that only a few players sustained injuries during fall camp, but none of those injuries are expected to sideline players for more than four or five games, with the exception of Jorden Edmonds and Jeremiah Beaman. Edmonds is dealing with a lower-body injury, while Beaman has a torn ACL.

Other players who have been sidelined due to injuries during fall camp include Lotzeir Brooks, Jireh Edwards, AK Dear, EJ Crowell, and Noah Rogers. However, Brooks is not anticipated to miss any games, and Rogers is significantly ahead of schedule, with only a few games expected to be missed. DeBoer expressed his satisfaction with the team's improved condition compared to the previous year, when numerous players were recovering from surgeries and limited participation made it challenging to determine the roster.

Despite the inevitable injuries in football, DeBoer believes the team has made significant progress this year.
