Direct Relief's vice president, Dan Hovey, noted that Nepal ranks among the most disaster-prone nations, facing risks like earthquakes, floods, droughts, and wildfires. In addition to the emergency supplies already on hand, Direct Relief is preparing further shipments to send to Nepal in the coming days. Donations of cash are currently the most essential aid to provide local agencies and nonprofits with flexible funding to sustain their relief efforts. U.S. organizations and other groups are on the ground assisting those affected by the floods.
