Guru didakwa terlibat kes murid sakit jantung dipaksa lari dipindah sementara

A 11-year-old female student in Kedah allegedly died due to a heart condition, despite participating in a 80-meter race for a school sports program. The teacher in question is suspected but was immediately reassigned to a new school after an initial probe, which is now under the purview of the Ministry of Education's integrity unit.

The incident occurred on April 14 last year, when the student, Nur Qaira Alisha Ahmad 'Ilwan, had a history of heart problems since childhood. She collapsed after the race and required medical attention on April 17, missing school for four months. The victim's family filed a complaint on May 10. Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek has directed the integrity unit to take further action, in accordance with the law.

The parents had previously shared a post on social media alleging their child's heart issues were exacerbated by a teacher, despite a medical certificate confirming her condition. As a result of the incident, Nur Qaira Alisha was accused of being transferred and forced to wear oxygen before she was reported dead at 7:49 PM Wednesday. The community reacted with mixed emotions, urging swift action against those involved.
