GTF makes new appointments

The Ghana Taekwondo Federation (GTF) has appointed a new Technical Committee and an Operations Manager to bolster the growth of the sport nationwide, according to a statement released by the organization. The new appointments were formally approved by the Executive Board.

Simon Gluikpor, hailing from the Ashanti region, has been designated as the new Technical Director and Chairman of the Technical Committee. Other members of the committee include Fayise Selorm, Bernard Ampim Darko, Sebastian Atatina Benon, and Percy Konadu Yiadom. The committee's primary focus will be on enhancing technical standards, athlete development, coaching, and competitions. They will also collaborate closely with regional associations and clubs on technical programs.

Additionally, the Federation appointed David Addotey as the Operations Manager. His responsibilities will encompass logistics, equipment management, inventory control, event logistics, distribution, storage, and maintenance. The statement urged all regional associations, clubs, coaches, and officials to provide their support to the new officers in fulfilling their duties.

The appointments are part of the new Executive Board's efforts to establish more robust technical, operational, and administrative structures to foster the expansion of taekwondo across all regions of Ghana. The statement celebrated the newly appointed members and expressed the hope that they would succeed in their newly assumed roles.
