Gore close to Luton loan; Amass and Leon futures still to be sorted

Manchester United midfielder Dan Gore is close to agreeing a loan move to League One side Luton Town. The 21-year-old, who spent last season at Rotherham, has made 34 appearances for his previous club. Although Gore was part of Michael Carrick's squad for pre-season, it was always expected that he would be out on loan for the upcoming season. His choice of Luton Town has been influenced by the opportunity to work with Jack Wilshere, who played in a similar position. However, a final agreement has yet to be reached.

The future of left-back Harry Amass remains uncertain. The 19-year-old was included in United's squad for pre-season, serving as backup to Luke Shaw, but was not selected for the opening Premier League match against Hull City. He was instead on Premier League 2 duty during a 5-0 victory over Ipswich. It had been anticipated that Amass would be either loaned out or leaving permanently, but his future has not been finalized.

Similarly, fellow left-back Diego Leon's path forward is unclear. Although he earned his first full international cap for Paraguay last year, the 19-year-old did not secure a regular starting spot in United's first team. Amass was prioritized over Leon during pre-season, which suggests that a loan move may be on the cards for Leon. However, no final decision has been made regarding his future.
