Eintracht Frankfurt sign Noah Atubolu

Eintracht Frankfurt has signed 24-year-old goalkeeper Noah Atubolu from Bundesliga rivals SC Freiburg on an initial loan basis. Born in Freiburg im Breisgau in 2002, Atubolu joined SC Freiburg's academy at the age of 13. He made his debut in men's football for Freiburg's U23 side at 18 and played a key role in the team's promotion to the third division as well as their second-place finish in the 2022/23 season.

By the end of his maiden professional campaign, Atubolu had established himself as the first-choice goalkeeper for Freiburg's first team, keeping 15 clean sheets in various competitions. The young goalkeeper has broken several records for SC Freiburg, including the longest goalless streak of 609 minutes and saving a fifth consecutive Bundesliga penalty.

Atubolu's strong performances helped Freiburg qualify for the Europa League, where he started all 15 games and conceded just 13 goals. He has also earned international experience with Germany's youth teams, making 22 appearances for the U21s. Eintracht Frankfurt's sport board member Markus Krösche expressed excitement about adding Atubolu to their squad, highlighting his potential, mentality, and the boost he will bring to the team.
