Driven by Ambition: Indonesian Student Clarrence Mae Charts Her Future at CUHK

HONG KONG SAR – Clarrence Mae, an Indonesian first-year student at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), is charting her future through a strategic choice to study at a world-renowned institution. As a recipient of two prestigious entrance scholarships, Mae is pursuing the Integrated Bachelor of Business Administration (IBBA) programme at CUHK.

Mae chose Hong Kong because of its reputation as a financial hub and a bridge between countries. She first encountered CUHK during her secondary school's education fair and was immediately drawn to its world-class standing and the university's diverse environment. Her commitment to CUHK was further recognized with two additional scholarships upon admission.

Despite initial language barriers, Mae has found a supportive community at CUHK. The university's mentorship program and diverse student body have helped her transition smoothly into campus life. She hopes to gain real-world experience through a Big Four internship and an exchange semester, with the ultimate goal of returning to Indonesia to make her mark in the business world.

CUHK's Integrated BBA programme offers unmatched flexibility, with nine concentration areas and options for double majors, dual degrees, and minors.
