After Dolly Parton's death, her music streamed at an unprecedented rate, propelling her to the top spot among globally streamed artists. The industry data and analytics company Luminate reported a staggering 2,458% increase in audio and video streams on the day of her passing, with her U.S. streams surging from 1.2 million to 30.5 million.

By Wednesday, this number had reached 46.3 million listeners worldwide. Her duet with Kenny Rogers, "Islands in the Stream," also saw an impressive 1,549% jump, from 165.9K to 2.9 million streams in just two days. Parton's song "I Will Always Love You," originally performed by Whitney Houston, saw a similar surge, with her rendition climbing from 64.9K to 2.8 million streams.

Her collaboration with Beyoncé on "Tyrant" from Beyoncé's Grammy-winning album "Cowboy Carter" also skyrocketed, with streams increasing from 47.8K to 755.5K. Sales of books related to Parton, including her memoir "Dolly Parton, Songteller: My Life in Lyrics" and a picture story based on "Coat of Many Colors," were also rising. Three of her books were among Amazon's top 5 bestsellers.
