Anwar to refer Saravanan’s letter to MACC

Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has not yet received the letter from M Saravanan regarding the corruption charges against the former human resources minister. Anwar stated that he is still awaiting the letter from the MIC deputy president and will refer it to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) once he receives it. The investigation and prosecution of Saravanan's case should be allowed to proceed, and the government must provide MACC with the necessary space to conduct a thorough investigation.

Anwar emphasized that the case will be left to the court's decision, and he will not interfere with the proceedings. Saravanan had previously alleged that he had received RM1.097 million in bribes linked to foreign worker quota approvals, but maintained that the charges against him were not credible.
