A video showing two men allegedly stealing earrings from the dead body of a woman killed in Nepal's recent flash floods has gone viral and ignited widespread outrage. The 41-second clip, which quickly circulated on social media, depicts the men dragging the deceased's body using wooden planks and by her hair before removing earrings from her ears.

Several bystanders can be seen nearby, some filming the incident on their phones rather than intervening. Nepal Police confirmed the arrest of the two men involved, sharing a portion of the video on X, although they did not provide further details on the identities of the perpetrators or the location of the incident.

The devastating flash floods have become one of Nepal's deadliest disasters in recent years, claiming nearly 400 lives and leaving over 1,500 others missing across Nepal and Tibet. Hundreds remain stranded, with India working to locate 290 of its citizens still unaccounted for as rescuers struggle through destroyed roads, washed-out bridges, and thick mud and debris. Authorities are also closely monitoring a newly formed barrier lake, which is filling rapidly, prompting concerns of potential fresh flooding downstream.
