Zelensky Receives Moldova’s Highest State Award as Regional Cooperation Deepens
Moldovan President Maia Sandu awarded President Volodymyr Zelensky the Order of the Republic, Moldova’s highest state award on Monday, Aug. 24, while Ukraine was marking its 35th Independence Day. She reiterated the honor in Chișinău on Thursday, Aug. 27, citing Zelensky’s role in defending peace and freedom in Europe as Moldova celebrated its own Independence.
