Zahid visits Pas spiritual leader Hashim Jasin in Perlis

Umno president Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi met with Pas spiritual leader Datuk Hashim Jasin at his residence in Perlis today. The visit came after Hashim had been battling health issues since February. Accompanying the prime minister was the Perlis Umno leadership, including Deputy Prime Minister Zahid Ibrahim.

Hashim, who was recovering, spent about 45 minutes discussing matters with the Umno leader, who expressed pleasure at seeing the spiritual leader's health improving. They exchanged greetings and prayers for one another's well-being.

The agenda of the meeting also included ummah unity, a topic of great importance to Hashim. He stressed the significance of unity, particularly in Perlis, and received a positive response from the Umno president.

Hashim highlighted the need to address any misunderstandings as a common challenge that can be resolved together. He noted that society had already demonstrated positive changes through unity. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to fostering unity among the ummah.
