UNIFIED Artist Management Signs ‘Freaked Out’ Creators Fat Papi and Prodshushy

Melbourne, Australia has welcomed breakout Aotearoa New Zealand artists Fat Papi and prodshushy to UNIFIED Artist Management. The trans-Tasman pair are the first signings since UNIFIED Artist Management opened its New Zealand office in May. "Freaked Out," the pair's viral hit, propelled Fat Papi to a No. 89 debut on the Billboard Hot 100, climbing to No. 88.

The song reached No. 55 on the Billboard Global 200 and climbed to No. 2 on YouTube's US Top Songs on Shorts. The track has amassed over 7 billion views on TikTok and 9 billion views on YouTube Shorts, catapulting Fat Papi to nearly 10 million monthly Spotify listeners. Fat Papi, whose real name is Baban Hussain, has been releasing music independently since 2023.

He is known for his melodic hip-hop, synth-driven club production, and infectious hooks. "Joining UNIFIED is an exciting next step," comments Fat Papi. UNIFIED will provide the pair with dedicated global management support for their next phase of career development. The management agreement was announced shortly after Warner Chappell Music secured a worldwide publishing deal with Fat Papi and prodshushy.
