Yusoff explained that the 34 students, who all reside in Sungai Golok, Thailand, were released on police bail and have since returned to their studies. The students, comprising 22 females and 12 males, were attending classes in three schools within the Rantau Panjang area. They were detained by the General Operations Force.
The police chief stated that they are currently awaiting a decision from the DPP regarding whether the students will be charged or not.
