Telangana CM inspects works at Mir Alam tank

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy visited the Mir Alam Tank in Hyderabad to inspect works on Thursday, August 27, 2026. He emphasized the need to prevent sewage from entering the lake and to widen it so that floodwaters can flow into the Musi river. As the holder of the Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) portfolio, Reddy conducted the inspection personally.

Officials demonstrated the ongoing projects to him, and the Chief Minister directed them to plan water sports and develop the island at the lake. Recognizing the lake's proximity to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Reddy stressed the importance of enhancing the site's tourist appeal.
