SRMIST, The Hindu to organise webinar on technology integration in medical profession

SRM Institute of Science and Technology, in collaboration with The Hindu, is set to host a webinar titled 'The Future Doctor: Balancing Clinical Experience with Technology' as part of their Future Career Conversations series. The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 4:30 p.m., and will be moderated by Geetha Srimathi S., a Senior Reporter at The Hindu.

The discussion will delve into the rapid integration of Artificial Intelligence, robotics, and digital health in the medical profession, exploring how future doctors can adapt to these advancements while maintaining clinical excellence and patient-centered care.

Key topics for the panel discussion will include the effective use of AI-assisted diagnostics, treatment planning, telemedicine, and digital consultations. Ethical challenges associated with technology-driven healthcare will also be addressed. The debate between specialization and general practice will be explored, alongside the need for reforms in medical education.
