Roma, Monza discussing terms of Ziolkowski’s loan

Roma and Monza are currently negotiating the terms of a loan deal for Polish defender Jan Ziolkowski. The 2001-born Brazilian defender, Morato, from Nottingham Forest, is being identified by Tony D’Amico as the preferred replacement for Ziolkowski, who is set to leave Roma in pursuit of greater consistency. Ziolkowski is nearing a move to Monza, but Gasperini insists on having another center-back available before finalizing the transfer.

Roma has already reached an agreement with Morato, while a final agreement with Nottingham Forest is still pending.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the proposed loan deal with Monza could be valued at approximately €15 million, with the option to convert into a permanent contract under certain conditions. However, Forest has not yet provided final approval on the structure proposed by Roma. Once the Morato deal is finalized, the path for Ziolkowski's transfer to Monza may become clearer.

A report by Corriere della Sera indicates that a separate loan deal is being worked out for the Polish defender, with a unique incentive-based formula tied to his appearances. The deal is structured so that the fee Monza pays Roma decreases as Ziolkowski accumulates more minutes on the field, encouraging his continued use and providing him with valuable experience without relinquishing control.
