Minority students’ scholarships will be released soon in Karnataka, says Minister Khader

Scholarships for minority students at various educational levels in Karnataka are set to be released soon, according to Health, Minority Welfare, Haj and Wakf Minister U.T. Khader. At a press conference at the Directorate of Minority Welfare office in Vasanth Nagar, Mr. Khader revealed that he had been informed about the delay in the scholarships' release.

He pledged to meet with department officials to expedite the process. Furthermore, the minister also hinted at a potential increase in the monthly financial assistance provided to PhD researchers belonging to minority communities. The researchers were previously receiving ₹25,000 per month, but this amount was later reduced to ₹10,000.

A meeting with the researchers will be held to address the issue, and steps will be taken to restore the assistance as decided.
