Man held for damaging Tasmac outlet near Arakkonam

A 38-year-old man, identified as B. Kumar of Gingee in Villupuram district, has been arrested by Sholighur Police in Ranipet for damaging a TASMAC outlet in Pandiyanallur village near Sholighur town. The incident occurred a few days ago when Kumar drilled a hole on the wall of the outlet to gain access to the stocks inside.

The outlet salesman, K. Rajan, 42, discovered the breach when he entered the shop around noon on Monday. However, the staff found the racks of liquor bottles untouched. Neither the CCTV cameras nor the hard disk were damaged, assuring that the operation was still under control.

Upon noticing the damage, the staff immediately informed the Sholighur police. The police subsequently collected CCTV footage along the route where the shop was situated. A case was registered against Kumar, and he was subsequently arrested from his hideout in Gingee after tracking CCTV footage and mobile phone signals.
