Man City manager Maresca urges patience with new signing Bouaddi

Manchester City's manager, Enzo Maresca, expressed optimism about new signing Ayyoub Bouaddi on Thursday, while maintaining a cautious approach as the young midfielder adapts to life in England. Bouaddi, an 18-year-old Moroccan midfielder, joins City on a five-year deal following his transfer from Lille. Maresca praised Bouaddi's readiness and work ethic, noting that the teenager appears more mature than his age, stating, "He's ready and he was working with his former club, so he is fit. He's quite calm, he does not look 18."

Maresca emphasized the importance of a gradual integration process for Bouaddi, given his youth and unfamiliarity with English football. He stated, "In this case we need to go slowly because he is very young and came from a different country. So no rush for him but for sure he is going to help us now and in the future."

Additionally, Maresca provided an update on the club's injury situation. Midfielder Elliot Anderson, who left the match against Bournemouth due to cramp, has since recovered. However, fellow midfielder Matheus Nunes remains partially fit after coming off the bench, while forward Jeremy Doku remains sidelined. Maresca also confirmed the departure of forward Omar Marmoush, whose transfer to Tottenham Hotspur has been widely speculated, and hinted at ongoing discussions regarding potential moves for Jack Grealish.

The manager declined to comment further on potential transfer targets, acknowledging the uncertainty surrounding the transfer window as Manchester City prepares for their upcoming match against Crystal Palace.
