Looky Looky riot: Police surrounded as dozens of illegal street sellers try to stop arrest on Mallorca beach

The Kebbi State Police Command has apprehended a suspect involved in vandalism and theft of electricity cables in the Bunza Local Government Area. Mustapha Abubakar, the suspect, was apprehended on August 25, 2026, during a police operation in the Kara area of Bunza town. This operation was prompted by concerns over the theft and vandalism of electricity infrastructure, which had disrupted electricity supply to certain communities.

During the operation, police recovered 10 bundles and seven sacks of stolen electricity service cables. The suspect was subsequently brought to court, according to the state Police Command.

SP Bashir Usman, the Police Public Relations Officer, stated that the recovery is part of the command's efforts to prevent the theft and vandalism of critical infrastructure in the state. He reaffirmed the command's commitment to safeguarding public infrastructure and bringing those involved in such criminal activities to justice.

CP Umar M. Hadejia, the Commissioner of Police, urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police.
