Israel considers expelling UK from Gaza monitoring centre

Israel is contemplating the expulsion of British officials from the US-led International Gaza Support Center (IGSC), a joint initiative aimed at monitoring the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. This potential move is a response to British Prime Minister Andy Burnham's intentions to enact stricter measures against illegal Israeli settlements. The Israeli government is also eyeing the possibility of removing Italy and Germany from the IGSC.

The IGSC, overseen by US military officers in collaboration with Israeli army representatives and officials from multiple nations, currently includes representatives from the Netherlands, Spain, and Italy. Recently, Israel expelled Dutch officials from the centre following the Netherlands' ban on goods originating from illegal Israeli settlements. Earlier this year, Israel withdrew Spain from the IGSC, alleging a biased stance against Israel.
