Aminuddin only ex-PH rep to fully return allocations, says MB

Negeri Sembilan's Chief Minister Ismail Lasim revealed that only one former Pakatan Harapan (PH) state assemblyman has fully returned the allocations he received, according to state Chief Minister Ismail Lasim. Several PH assemblymen, including coordinators for the Paroi and Labu state constituencies, have begun returning the funds from June 30 but have yet to repay the entire amount.

Ismail stated that the amounts disbursed varied across constituencies and that the current office is examining the records to determine the precise outstanding balances. He ordered 17 PH assemblymen and two constituency coordinators to return allocations disbursed from July to September 2022, amounting to RM174,000 and RM150,000 respectively.

Seven former PH assemblymen who held the position of state executive councillors must return RM150,000 each. However, Ismail clarified that these state executive councillors, including Aminuddin Harun, remained ex-officio members until July 31, allowing them to utilize the funds for that month. Nilai assemblyman J Arul Kumar claimed that the assemblymen had already spent the allocations for public welfare, with some using their funds entirely.

All unspent funds have been returned to the Chief Minister's office before July 10, accompanied by financial reports detailing the use of funds in each constituency.
