IATO Expresses Deep Condolences Over Tragic Nepal Incident, Stands In Solidarity With Affected Families

The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) has expressed profound sorrow over the tragic incident in Nepal that has claimed lives and left many missing. Speaking on behalf of the IATO community, Mr. Ravi Gosain, the President of the organization, conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families who have suffered the loss of loved ones.

"We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident in Nepal and the loss of precious human lives," Mr. Gosain stated. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families who are going through an extremely difficult and painful time." He reiterated that the tragedy is particularly distressing for the travel and tourism industry, considering the strong cultural, social, spiritual, and personal connections between India and Nepal.

Both nations share a rich history of tourism, pilgrimage, cultural exchanges, and business relationships. Mr. Gosain also appreciated the efforts of local authorities, security personnel, rescue agencies, medical teams, volunteers, and the local communities that are actively engaged in the search and rescue operations. He expressed hope that all necessary aid would continue to reach the affected individuals and families.
