How a glacial collapse caused Nepal’s catastrophic floods

Nepal police have disclosed the names of 23 Malaysians missing following the catastrophic floods in the country. The list, available on the Nepal police Facebook page, includes the names, date of birth, and nationalities of the missing individuals. Among the missing are eight females and 15 males. The list contains the following names: Mohd Fakhrul Munir Bin Mohd Isa, 44; Mangala Vanan Krishnasamy, 50; Malani M Vellu, 49; Lingam Samykanoo, 49; Letchumy Sinnappan, 47; Krishnan Vadivelu, 74; Komathi Rethinam, 48; Kirubanithi Alagappan, 38; Karunanithi Sundram, 65; Kannan Kerisna, 51; Kalaiselvi P Narayanasamy, 65; Kalai Mathe Karuppaiah, 57; Jason Ngeow, 56; Inthumathy Subramaniam, 54; Gunavathy Muthusamy, 60; Gunanesan Vellaisamy, 58; Eswary Maniraj, 35; Brabaakaran Krishnan, 47; Balasingam Kesavan, 71; Azman Bin Karim, 60; Arunasalam Karuppiah, 70; Appannah A Muthaloo, 56; and A Ganesan Anandan, 52.

Earlier, Malaysian Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan stated that the number of unaccounted Malaysian nationals in the aftermath of the disaster has not been confirmed by Nepalese authorities. Nepal police have also compiled a list of unidentified dead bodies and photographs to aid families in identifying their loved ones. The list, accompanied by QR codes, can be accessed via the Nepal police's Facebook page.
