Hospital charged ICU fee despite general ward stay, ordered to pay Rs 2.75 lakh
A hospital must refund two lakh rupees to a patient. The commission found the hospital billed for an ICU bed incorrectly. This occurred even though hospital records showed a general ward stay. The patient also received compensation and litigation cost payments. The hospital was directed to seek reimbursement via Swasthya Sathi.
