Grand Theft Auto 6 is expected to have a lengthy playtime, with its producer estimating it could take players up to 80 hours to complete, according to an interview with The New York Times. Rockstar North co-studio head Rob Nelson disclosed that he took about 80 hours to finish the game in February, which included the main story and a few optional goals with narrative consequences.

However, it's unclear whether this figure encompasses mere exploration of the open world or not. Despite this considerable length, Nelson hopes that players take their time and don't rush through the game. When compared to GTA 4 and 5, which span around 30 hours, and Red Dead Redemption 2, which lasts between 50-60 hours, GTA 6 will undoubtedly be the longest Rockstar game to date.
