Google’s new Fitbit Air brings Pokémon Sleep to your wrist

Google has introduced a special-edition Fitbit Air that integrates with Pokémon Sleep, creating a unique blend of health tracking and the popular Pokémon game. This collaboration comes as Pokémon celebrates its 30th anniversary. The Fitbit Air, previously launched in May, offers enhanced health and fitness monitoring, alongside an AI-powered coach tailored to users' activity, sleep, and wellness data.

Pokémon Sleep, launched in 2023, gamifies the act of going to bed by offering in-game rewards for adhering to a bedtime schedule, tracking sleep duration and quality. The special Fitbit Air syncs with both the Google Health app and Pokémon Sleep, enabling users to monitor daily movement, heart rate, and cardio load throughout the day, and record sleep patterns overnight.

This integration transforms the mundane act of sleeping into a Pokémon adventure, attracting more players to discover new in-game Pokémon based on their sleep patterns.

The special Fitbit Air, priced at $129, is available for pre-order and will ship starting September 15 through the Google Store, Target, and online. Notably, Google has also partnered with Stephen Curry for a special edition Pixel Watch, priced at $579, featuring a unique design for workouts.
