Golden Boy doubleheader: Schofield vs Bahdi, Collazo moves up to challenge Sandoval

Golden Boy will present two championship bouts on Saturday, October 10, at Chicago's Wintrust Arena. Floyd Schofield and Lucas Bahdi will vie for the vacant WBA lightweight title, while Oscar Collazo will make a daring move up two divisions to challenge unified flyweight titlist Ricardo Sandoval. The card, a rarity in Chicago's boxing scene, will stream live on DAZN.

Schofield and Bahdi have been anticipated for months, as WBA champion Gervonta "Tank" Davis has been sidelined by personal and legal issues since January 2025. Schofield, 24, last fought in June 2025, defeating veteran Tevin Farmer in just 78 seconds. Canada's Bahdi, 32, has yet to capitalize on his victory over top prospect Ashton "H2O" Sylve but has since faced Armando Casamonica, Ryan James Racaza, and Roger Gutierrez.

Collazo, 27, will make a significant leap to challenge Sandoval. He recently defeated Neider Valdez in two rounds and stunned Kenshiro Teraji to win the WBC and WBA flyweight titles in July 2025. Despite the size jump, Collazo is listed as a top 10 P4P fighter and is eager to prove himself in another division.
