Garmin Fenix 9 and Fenix 9 Pro Launch With Nearly Two-Month Battery Life

Garmin has introduced two new flagship multisport smartwatches, the Fenix 9 and Fenix 9 Pro, boasting an impressive battery life of up to 31 days and nearly two months of usage in smartwatch mode. The standard Fenix 9 features a fiber-reinforced polymer case with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and its AMOLED display is twice as bright as the Fenix 8 model.

The Fenix 9 Pro takes it a step further with a full titanium case and an AMOLED display capable of reaching up to 3,000 nits of brightness, making it the largest display ever fitted to a Fenix watch.

Performance-wise, the Fenix 9 boasts 50% more RAM than its predecessor, while the Fenix 9 Pro features an upgraded mapping engine that allows for faster map panning. Storage capacity has doubled to 64GB, providing ample space for maps and songs. A new Garmin Epic feature allows users to merge activities recorded over a long period into a single story. Health and performance data can be combined with photos and shared through Garmin Connect.

The Fenix 9 Pro offers satellite and LTE connectivity, enabling users to communicate even without a connected smartphone. Selected Pro models also come with solar-charging displays, extending battery life to up to 57 days under specific conditions. Pricing starts at $999.99 for the Fenix 9 and $1,099.99 for the Fenix 9 Pro, both available in 43mm, 47mm, and 51mm sizes.
