Emirati women's progress is a shared journey: Sheikha Bodour

In a statement commemorating Emirati Women’s Day 2026, Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi emphasized that the progress of Emirati women is a collective journey, built upon the strength, knowledge, and contributions of countless generations of women. She highlighted that each generation of Emirati women has opened doors for those who follow, broadened opportunities, and demonstrated that women's ambitions are intrinsically tied to the UAE’s broader aspirations.

Sheikha Bodour stressed that the journey of Emirati women remains deeply rooted in the country’s culture, heritage, and values. She also praised the UAE’s leadership for fostering an environment where Emirati women can lead with confidence both at home and internationally. Reflecting on this year’s theme, “Together, We Rise Stronger and Better,” she underscored the significance of shared progress and the creation of opportunities for future generations.

Highlighting the importance of collective advancement, Sheikha Bodour remarked, “Strength grows when it is shared,” asserting that every woman who progresses can help widen the path for those who come after her.
