Emirati Women’s Forum 2026 opens in Dubai

UAE marks Emirati Women's Day with theme of "We emerge stronger and better". The month-long celebration, running until September 28, centers on initiatives, recognising achievements, and highlighting role models. The theme, introduced this year, underscores the UAE's aspirations to expand on existing advancements and progress further across all sectors.

Sana Suhail, Minister of Family, emphasized that the theme embodies the nation's forward-looking spirit, built on ambition and responsibility. It affirms that the accomplishments of Emirati women stem from a national framework promoting roles integration, aligned with the Mother of the Nation's 50:50 vision for women's broader participation in the nation's development and prosperity.

The occasion coincides with the Year of the Family, underscoring the crucial link between family welfare and societal growth, with women playing a vital role in nurturing values and fortifying national identity. Ms Suhail stressed the need to create an enabling atmosphere that paves the way for Emirati women to contribute and thrive. She highlighted that a prosperous society begins with empowering individuals, especially women, and families.

Minister of Health and Prevention, Ahmed Al Sayegh, echoed the sentiment, noting that the presence of women in various development sectors verifies the country's trust in their abilities and commitment to their progress. The theme of Emirati Women's Day holds national significance, reflecting the confidence in women's determination. Marking the annual event on August 28, UAE has observed Women's Day since 2015, a tradition initiated by Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation.
