Detroit Lions provide injury update on rookie EDGE Derrick Moore

The Detroit Lions disclosed an injury update regarding rookie edge rusher Derrick Moore during Wednesday's training camp practice, as reported by Pride of Detroit. Moore, a second-round pick from Michigan, was part of the team's standout performers in their second preseason game. The 6-foot-3, 260-pound rookie contributed to the Lions' 17-13 NFL preseason victory with a strip-sack fumble on Washington Commanders quarterback Sam Hartman.

Head coach Dan Campbell announced on Thursday morning that Moore will be sidelined for a period, and the team remains optimistic about his return as early as the following week. Moore missed Thursday's training camp practice, but Detroit is hopeful about his return next week. Hassanein, too, has been impressive in preseason action.
