BREAKING: Nigeria Police invites VeryDarkMan over comments at NBA conference

The Nigeria Police Force has summoned social media commentator, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, to challenge claims he made at an NBA conference. According to DAILY POST, VeryDarkMan participated as a panelist at the NBA's 66th Annual General Conference in Port Harcourt. He alleged that police officers at highway checkpoints were sharing travelers' identities and movements with kidnappers and bandits, thereby aiding abductions for ransom.

The Nigeria Police Force's Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, refuted these claims, stating that the officers' role is to prevent crime, detect criminal activity, and protect citizens, not to enable kidnappings. The police have invited VeryDarkMan to present evidence supporting his allegations, specifically evidence of police personnel at checkpoints identifying wealthy individuals and transmitting information to kidnappers for their abduction.

The police encourage the public to provide credible evidence of officer misconduct instead of making public allegations, to ensure prompt and thorough investigation.
