Birmingham City look to hijack Young Boys’ bid to sign Nantes’ Herba Guirassy

Birmingham City is attempting to intervene in Young Boys' pursuit to sign Nantes' young winger, Herba Guirassy, according to a report by Sacha Tavolieri. Guirassy, who was 19 last season, gained valuable Ligue 1 experience at Nantes, making 20 appearances and scoring twice. However, Nantes suffered a relegation to Ligue 2 that season.

Despite having a promising start to this season, with three games in Ligue 2 where Guirassy scored once, the club has now lost all three matches, sits at the bottom of the league, and recently sacked their manager, Michal Der Zakarian. Grégory Poirier has taken over as manager, but Guirassy might not have the opportunity to play under him.

As interest in acquiring Guirassy grows, Birmingham City has submitted a bid of their own, attempting to hijack the deal that Young Boys had already begun negotiations on. Current negotiations are still ongoing.
