A catastrophic flood swept through communities along the Nepal-China border, resulting in at least 360 deaths and 1,400 people missing, according to police. The disaster, triggered by a glacier collapse, caused several-story-high torrents of water and mud to ravage villages. Rescue teams and military helicopters scoured the area for survivors amidst wreckage and displaced residents.

Over 910 people remain missing in Nepal and at least three have died in Tibet. Hundreds of bridges and kilometers of roads were destroyed, hindering search efforts. Over 1,200 individuals were displaced, and 1,300 people, including hundreds of foreigners, were unaccounted for. The U.N. pledged aid, while China's premier visited the affected areas to direct rescue operations.
