Astrology platform InstaAstro raises $12M in Series A
InstaAstro will use the funding to build AI-led solutions, including sentiment analysis to help astrologers deliver more contextual consultations and multilingual support to improve the consultation experience across languages.
Noida-based online astrology platform InstaAstro has secured $12 million in Series A funding led by Singularity AMC and Artha Venture Fund, with additional participation from the founders. The capital will be utilized to develop AI-driven solutions, such as sentiment analysis for more contextual consultations and multilingual support to enhance the user experience across various languages.
InstaAstro also intends to grow its pooja seva and spiritual commerce businesses. Founded in 2021 by Nitin Verma, the company has already raised a total of Rs 21.7 crore in funding.
Nitin Verma, InstaAstro's Founder and CEO, emphasized the company's commitment to building the world's most trusted spiritual platform by prioritizing quality over quantity. The platform has already surpassed Rs 200 crore in annualized revenue, with FY25 revenue at Rs 52 crore and FY26 revenue increasing to Rs 111.26 crore. As of now, InstaAstro boasts a user base of 12 million, marking a 400% growth over the past two years.
The startup has expanded its offerings to include tarot, numerology, vastu, and other related disciplines, alongside pooja services, remedies, wellness products, and spiritual commerce.
The startup now employs around 5,000 experts and caters to users across India and international markets. In India, the majority of users hail from Tier 1 cities, while Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities have emerged as the fastest-growing markets. International markets contribute approximately 25% of the company's revenue, largely driven by the Indian diaspora.
Artha Venture Fund Managing Partner Anirudh A Damani expressed confidence in the company's leadership, stating, "He (founder) spent 5 years on the unglamorous part: verified astrologers, quality scores, a reason to come back. The first consultation is marketing. The second one is a business." The online astrology market is expected to reach a value of $1.8 billion by 2030.
