Algeria wildfires kill 12 as response intensifies
Wildfires sweeping across several Algerian provinces have killed at least 12 people. Interior Minister Said Sayoud confirmed the deaths during a visit to the badly affected Bejaia region. Authorities reported 159 separate fires across the country. The worst casualties occurred in northern provinces.
