69 Jalur Gemilang raised atop Gunung Arong by Mersing cops

On the eve of Malaysia's National Day, 1,000 Jalur Gemilang flags were distributed to road users and residents in Pekan Meru, Kapar by the Semarak Jalur Gemilang program, according to the Malaysian Newswire. This initiative, a collaboration between the Yakinkan Eratkan Sahabatkan Selangor association and Klang North Police Traffic, aims to foster patriotism and encourage more Malaysians to display the Jalur Gemilang.

The program's chairman, Mohd Affifi Mohd Aris, stated that the initiative is an effort to approach the community and remind them of the significance of independence, unity, and the sacrifices of previous generations. He emphasized that National Day is not just a yearly celebration, but a time for Malaysians to reflect on the values of independence, unity, and the sacrifices of those who came before them.

"Through the Semarak Jalur Gemilang program, we want to inspire a sense of pride in being Malaysian. Even the act of displaying the Jalur Gemilang on a vehicle carries the symbolism of our love, loyalty, and unity as a nation," Mohd Affifi added. As the chief of Pemuda Umno Kapar, Mohd Affifi also praised the cooperation between the community association and the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) in executing the program.

He believes that the collaboration between civil society groups and the Malaysia Police is crucial in strengthening ties with the community and building a more harmonious and responsible society. The association hopes that the program will encourage more residents, particularly in Meru, Kapar, and Klang, to display the Jalur Gemilang throughout National Day.
