2027: Stop causing confusion in our party – ADC cautions aggrieved aspirants

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has cautioned aggrieved aspirants to cease causing confusion within the party after the recent primary elections. Deputy National Financial Secretary Oladimeji Fadeyi made this statement while speaking to journalists in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State. According to Fadeyi, the party's leadership should be the focal point for aggrieved aspirants as they seek to win the upcoming general elections.

One of the governorship aspirants on the ADC platform in Oyo State, Mr. Gbemileke Alagbe, has been mistakenly asserting himself as the party's candidate for the 2027 general elections. However, Fadeyi urged Alagbe and other aggrieved aspirants to lay down their differences. He clarified that the ADC's governorship candidate for the 2027 elections is Chief Adegboyega Adegoke.

Fadeyi explained that Adegoke participated in a recognized primary organized by the party and confirmed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The ADC has been successful in presenting credible candidates for the upcoming elections, including in Oyo State. The party conducted direct primaries, and party members chose Adegoke as their candidate for the governorship position in the 2027 election.
