‘0% chance’ – Atletico hit back at Barca over Alvarez transfer row

He recently missed training due to what Atletico claims was illness, adding to the controversy surrounding his potential departure. In response to Laporta's video stating that Barcelona's 100 million euro offer remained on the table, Atletico condemned the club's action, stating that the situation is not about money, but about the player's dignity and that they are the ones who are being victimized economically and socially.

The club insists there is a "campaign of many lies and half-truths", and that the only one paying for this is Atletico. Barcelona remains determined to secure Alvarez, who they view as the club's dream transfer target, and will continue negotiations until the transfer window closes. Real Madrid had previously made a 150 million euro offer for Alvarez in June, but it was rejected by Atletico, who continued to emphasize their unwillingness to sell Alvarez to Barcelona, even for a significant sum of up to 200 million euros.
