US military says it struck vessel in the Caribbean, killing four

The US military announced on Tuesday that four individuals were killed in a strike on a vessel in the Caribbean, the most recent in a series of attacks targeting narco-terrorists. Washington claims these operations are in response to drug trafficking but human rights organizations criticize them as extrajudicial killings. The US Southern Command reported the strike occurred along established narco-trafficking routes in the Caribbean. No further details were provided about the victims or the precise location of the operation. The US has been conducting these strikes since September 2025. Since the beginning of 2025, over 210 people have been killed in US military strikes against such vessels in the Caribbean and Eastern Pacific.

Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and independent UN experts have deemed the strikes unlawful extrajudicial killings. On Monday, the US military reported that two people were killed in a strike launched on a vessel in the Eastern Pacific, marking the first strike in more than two months.
