US military says it struck vessel in the Caribbean, killing four

On Tuesday, the US military reported that four individuals had been killed in a recent strike against a vessel in the Caribbean. This incident is part of a series of attacks claimed by Washington to target narco-terrorists, although human rights organizations label them as extrajudicial killings.

According to the US Southern Command, the intelligence confirming the vessel's involvement in narcotics trafficking led to the operation that resulted in the deaths of four narco-terrorists. However, the military did not disclose the identities of the individuals killed or the precise location of the strike, other than noting that the vessel was operating along known narco-trafficking routes in the Caribbean.

The US administration, led by President Donald Trump, has been conducting strikes on vessels suspected of narcotics transportation since September 2025. In total, these strikes in the Caribbean and the Eastern Pacific have resulted in over 210 fatalities. Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and other independent UN experts have criticized these strikes, deeming them unlawful extrajudicial killings.
