Ubisoft forgot to make sure the Steam release of Heroes of Might & Magic 3 included the actual game

Ubisoft made a critical oversight when they released Heroes of Might & Magic 3 on Steam. Despite being the current owner of the series, they failed to include the actual game in the release, leaving players disappointed. The 2015 HD rerelease was the only way to get this strategy classic on Steam, but it lacked the expansions and random map generator that fans had come to expect.

While the current user review rating stands at 80% negative, Ubisoft's current offering only comes with a 23.49 KB dummy executable, resulting in an error message when attempting to launch the game. It is highly likely that Ubisoft will rectify this issue soon, but until then, fans are advised to opt for the complete edition available on GOG, which is currently on sale for half-price.
