Tim Curry has died

Tim Curry, a versatile performer across stage, screen, and TV, has died at the age of 80. The actor will be remembered for his iconic roles, most notably as the flamboyant Dr Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Show. Curry's career spanned over 50 years, beginning with his debut in the original West End cast of Hair in 1968. He later gained recognition for his portrayal of Tristan Tzara in Tom Stoppard's Travesties and Mozart in the Broadway transfer of Amadeus.

Curry also enjoyed success in film, TV, and comedy, with notable roles in Legend, It, Home Alone 2, Muppet Treasure Island, and Scary Movie 2. Despite a stroke in 2012 that left him with mobility issues and memory problems, Curry remained active in his craft until his recent passing. Friends and colleagues, including Luke Evans, Carol Burnett, and Michael McKean, have paid tribute to Curry, praising his talent and inspiring influence.
