Systech appointed distributor for China's Kingbase database software

KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia-based Systech Bhd has entered into an agreement to distribute China's Kingbase database software in the country. The technology firm has formed a non-exclusive partnership with China Electronics Technology Kingbase (Beijing) Technologies Inc., which will authorize Systech Digital Solutions Sdn Bhd to market and sell the products locally. This move is part of Systech's strategy to expand its enterprise software offerings and bolster its digital solutions portfolio.

The agreement, which spans until December 31, 2027, will see Systech Digital leveraging its local market reach and delivery capabilities. In return, China Electronics will provide product documentation, promotional materials, channel support, and training. The collaboration aims to strengthen Systech's position as a comprehensive digital solutions provider.

Systech's Managing Director Low Min Yew highlighted that database software is a critical component of digital systems. By combining Kingbase's database products with Systech Digital's local expertise, the partnership could open up new business opportunities and enhance the company's overall offerings to Malaysian enterprises. The agreement is not anticipated to significantly impact Systech's earnings per share for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, but it is expected to generate additional revenue and contribute positively to future earnings.
