SP promises 'Stree Samman Samriddhi Yojana' if voted to power in 2027 Assembly polls

The Samajwadi Party has pledged to introduce the Stree Samman Samridhhi Yojna in the 2027 Assembly polls, aiming to enhance women's access to education and employment prospects, said MP Dimple Yadav at a press conference. The scheme aims to empower women by guaranteeing them respect and prosperity, irrespective of their age, social or economic status.

Dimple Yadav explained that the word 'Stree' in the scheme's name signifies gender without limiting it to a particular age group. The party president emphasized that respect should precede prosperity for every woman, as it is the foundation of social empowerment and strengthening her position. The scheme would be implemented in phases, with its success assessed periodically and improvements made accordingly.

Initially, the scheme would provide an assistance of ₹40,000, which would be increased annually. Dimple Yadav announced the scheme on Women's Equality Day, emphasizing the party's positive thinking towards women, who make up half of the population represented by the 'A' in the party's PDA formulation.
