Ringg AI raises $10 million in funding from Peak XV Partners, others
Founded in 2023 by Siddharth Tripathi, Kali Charan Vemuru and Utkarsh Shukla, the startup counts Policybazaar, CRED, Flipkart, Groww and Practo among its customers.
India’s voice AI startup Ringg has secured funding from Peak XV Partners to expand its offering in the country where over three-quarters of consumers prefer interacting with businesses via phone call. Processing 20 million call attempts per month, Ringg plans to leverage this momentum to further automate support and outreach calls using its voice AI technology.
The company, which transitioned from a text-to-speech startup, now processes complex workflows such as appointment booking for healthcare clinics, abandoned-cart recovery for e-commerce sites, and KYC checks for fintech apps. Ringg’s co-founder Siddharth Tripathi highlighted the shift from high-volume, low-complexity use cases to more intricate workflows, as these simpler tasks became price-driven.
The startup serves over 1,200 clinics for the healthcare app Practo, handling patient booking and follow-ups. While voice calls remain central to Ringg's business, the company is also venturing into chat, WhatsApp, and browser-based support automation. Currently operating primarily in India and a few Middle Eastern and U.S. markets, Ringg aims to collaborate with Global Capability Centers in India to offer automation services alongside human support.
Ringg's team of 40 plans to hire additional engineers and researchers to optimize its voice stack, which includes speech recognition and generation models. In a competitive landscape filled with model makers, orchestrators, and application-layer players, Ringg's technical depth and focus on delivering enterprise outcomes differentiate it from the crowded voice AI market.
