Rescue crews scramble after Nepal-Tibet floods kills at least 160

Flash floods and landslides on the Nepal-Tibet border have killed at least 160 people, including a large number of foreign tourists. Entire villages have been destroyed, and the death toll is expected to rise. Nepali police have recovered 157 bodies, while 403 tourists, including 142 Indians, are still missing. China's state media reported three deaths and 265 people missing in a mudslide at a Tibet border hub.

Chinese officials mobilized nearly 800 emergency workers and 150 vehicles to assist in the rescue efforts. Local residents are traumatized, and experts warn of the possibility of a second flood due to a lingering blockage in the river.
