Rashid Pelpuo thanks Mahama for keeping him in government after reshuffle

Wa Central Member of Parliament, Dr Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, has thanked President John Dramani Mahama for retaining him in government following a recent ministerial reshuffle. Dr Pelpuo, who previously held the position of Minister for Labour, Jobs and Employment, has been reassigned to the Office of the President as Minister of State for Special Initiatives.

In a Facebook post, Dr Pelpuo expressed his gratitude to President Mahama and the people of Ghana for their support. "I’m overwhelmed with calls all over the country and especially from the Upper West Region over my reshuffle. Thanks to all. I appreciate the new position," he stated. Dr Pelpuo emphasized his commitment to public service and his dedication to fulfilling the government's promises to the nation.

He will assume his new role at the Office of the President immediately. President Mahama's latest reshuffle also saw the appointment of Emmanuel Agyekum, previously Minister of State for Special Initiatives, to replace Dr Pelpuo at the Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment.
